It didn’t seem like it was 5 minutes since I first met Alison & Matt for their pre-wedding shoot with me and to discuss their photographic desires on their wedding day, but only 3 months on and their wedding day is upon us.
A typical Scottish day so far as the weather went, a bit of rain and biting temperature and a little bit windy; but the weather was never going to spoil Matt and Alison’s wedding. At the rather stylish St. Mary’s Church, Melton Mowbray with the reception at the delightful Scalford Hall just 15 minutes away this was always going to be a day to remember because of the richness of the colours in the plaids, guard of honor and Christmas decorations adorning both the church and Scalford Hall. Alison looked so very stunning in her gorgeous wedding dress styled by Audrey Hepburn.
Here are a very small number of images which give a brief flavour of their day. The full set of photographs are available to view on their gallery – I believe Mr & Mrs Johns with connect with you soon!
Oh yes, and before I forget, well done and a massive thank you to Alison & Matt for being fantastic in the spitting rain as I took them off for their ‘together shots’ away from their guests and to their family and guests when I asked everyone of them to venture outside in the biting cold for the group shot!
Also, thank you so much for the stunning feedback fed through Douglas, Alison’s father – covering a wedding none obtrusively and graciously is what my Wedding Photography ethos is and to receive such feedback was so very special to me and Lindsey – thank you one and all and thank you for making us feel so very welcome and part of your day!
If you know Alison or Matt and were there on their special day, please feel free to comment on this article – I would so very love to hear about your perspective and your personal story on the day….. Gina x
